The OCUS Benchmark of Pro/E Builds
- Last modified: Feb 11 2000 -Here are the results of running the OCUS Benchmark with different builds of Pro/E.
I ran the R2000i, R2000i2 and R2001 version trail files of the v3.1 benchmark on one computer under the exact same conditions.The tests were performed on a:
Compaq AP550 PIII 733MHz Elsa Gloria II (Nvidia Quadro 64Mb) WinNT 4.0 SP4
The results clearly show how the performance of Pro/E decreased on
many taks with the introduction of R2000i2 compared to R2000i and further decreased with the introduction of R2001. Especially Hidden Line removal, Calculating Shades, Global Interference Checks and all tasks in drawing mode.
There are only three tasks where R2000i2 is faster then R2000i:
Retrieve Assembly, Part Saves and Assy Mass Properties calculations.
There are only four tasks where R2001 is faster then R2000i:
Shaded Redraws, Wireframe Mouse Zooms, Part Saves and Assy Mass Properties calculations
R2001 significantly looses when it comes to Exporting DXF.
